PLASTIC SURGEON JUAN CARLOS PRADA

Doctor Juan Carlos Prada was born in Barrancabermeja (Santander) in 1969. He studied medicine at the Universidad Pontificia Boliviariana of Medellin and he specialized in gynecology and obstetrics at the same University. He graduated in 1999 and began his practice in the city of Bucaramanga at the San Luis and Bucaramanga clinics.

Since the beginning of his career Dr. Prada has focused on avoiding invasion and using top-notch technology. During 2005 he made a course on Hysteroscopy in Caracas and in 2006 he sub-specialized in minimally invasive surgery at the Universidad de Chile.

Two years ago he gained interest in the plastic surgery in gynecology field and he became one of the pioneers in Colombia in this specialty. He gained his knowledge in Santiago de Chile and continued his training in Republica Dominicana and New York.

He founded the “Instituto de Cosmetoginecologia Láser” (CEGYN) with offices in the main cities of the country, where he performs minimally invasive surgeries and vaginal plastic surgeries.

Dr. Prada is an active member of the Colombian Society of Gynecology and Obstetrics, the American Society of Gynecologists, the Ibero-American Society of Gynecologic Endoscopy and Ultrasound, the International Association of Urogynecology and the International Society of Cosmetology.

Since his graduation he has performed more than 2650 operations in all kinds of gynecology specialties always focusing on minimally invasive surgeries.

He got married in 1998 with Adriana Florez, a surgeon specialized in the administrative field with whom he has three kids; two girls and one boy. During his free time Dr. Prada likes to share time with his family and read.
